SUBWAY Exchange U16 Men Netherlands
Beim SUBWAY Exchange am vergangenen Wochenende spielten die U16 Men Nationalmannschaft dreimal gegen eine körperliche extrem starke Mannschaft der Niederländer ( Durchschnittsgrösse 1,95 m). Am Ende konnten die Niederländer alle drei Spiele für sich endscheiden. Trotzdem sah man gute Ansätze bei der Luxemburger Auswahl, sowohl in der Offensive als auch in der Defensive.
 
Zum normalen Training zur Vorbereitung auf die EM bestreiten die Spieler um Marisuz Dziurdzia und Christian Nittler noch von 28.07-01.08.14 einen Lehrgang in Belgien.
 
Am 08.-10.08.14 spielt das Team dann zum SUBWAY Exchnge Ireland in der Coque und am 18.08.14 fliegt die Mannschaft nach Macedonien zur EM der B-Division.

Eine sehr solide irische Mannschaft verlangte den Luxemburgerinnen alles ab, so dass die Spiele bis zum Schlusspfiff spannend blieben. 
 
Am 16. Juli geht die EM-Vorbereitung für die U16 Women mit einem Lehrgang in Hennef weiter. Am 18. Juli wird dann das letzte Vorbereitungsspiel gegen die Niederlande bestritten, bevor es nach Tallin zur EM der B-Division geht (29.07. – 10.08.2014).

Mit einem Sieg nach zwei knappen Niederlagen gegen Georgien, zeigt sich die U20 Men auf gutem Weg, um bei der Europameisterschaft 2014 (10.-20. Juli) in Sarajevo ein gutes Turnier zu spielen.

Die Mannschaft trifft in der Gruppenphase auf folgende Teams: Rumänien, Bosnien, Zypern, Portugal und Belgien

Das erste Spiel ist am 11.07.2014 um 17h30 gegen Belgien.

Beim SUBWAY Exchange am Wochenende überzeugt die U18 Women Nationalmannschaft mit drei Siegen gegen eine starke irische Auswahl. Am nächsten Wochenende stehen zwei Spiele gegen Dänemark (A-Gruppe) und einSpiel gegen Deutschland auf dem Programm, bevor es dann am 15 Juli zur Europameisterschaft nach Rumänien geht.

The decision was taken after a careful consideration of the continuous political situation and security issues in Ukraine, which deemed as less than favourable for the staging of such an important and demanding event.
The Board took note of the efforts made by the Ukrainian Federation and the country's giant strides in recent years, including a 6th place finish at EuroBasket 2013 and their participation in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
In that regard the Board declared its willingness to help the Ukraine Federation in its efforts to promote basketball and decided to authorize the President of FIBA Europe Turgay Demirel and the Secretary General Kamil Novak to start negotiations immediately with the Ukrainian side on the possibility of the country hosting EuroBasket 2017 and provided that some necessary conditions are met.
With regard to EuroBasket 2015 a new bidding process will now be opened to all European Federations inviting single or multi-country bids.
All interested parties will have to present the required official documentation and guarantees by 31st July, 2014.
A decision on the new EuroBasket 2015 hosts is expected by 30 September, 2014 at the latest.
The Board has also decided that next year's event will be played with the new system of competition which was originally set to come into force in 2017. It also confirmed the competition dates.
The above means that EuroBasket 2015 will take place between 5 -20 September, 2015 and will still feature 24 teams but after the initial group phase (4 groups of 6 teams each) the teams will enter an knockout phase.

Sehr kurze Vorbereitung endet mit Sieg über Portugal
Nach nur wenigen Tagen Vorbereitung hat die Frauennationalmannschaft  mit insgesamt 4 Siegen, 3x gegen Schottland, 1x gegen Portugal, und einer Niederlage, gegen Portugal, nun die Europameisterschaftsqualifikationsrunde 2 vor sich.
 
Gegen drei starke Gegner, die alle auf WNBA und Euroleague Spielerinnen zurückgreifen können, hat das Team sechs schwere Spiele in den nächsten drei Wochen zu bestreiten.
Dass die Mannschaft, die auf A-Level antritt, zumindest das Niveau der um Platz 20 einzustufenden Länder erreicht hat, haben die Siege im letzten Jahr gegen Deutschland und der Sieg gestern gegen Portugal gezeigt. Alle Heimspiele finden im Centre Sportif „Am Sand“ in Oberanven statt.
